Duct insulation fasteners
Zip-Ez™ fasteners
Tape seals the seam. Zip-Ez holds the insulation on. One hand, one screw, one per foot, with the drill already on your belt.

Why mechanical fasteners
The insulation makers already require them
Owens Corning, Johns Manville and Knauf all call for mechanical fasteners in their duct insulation installation instructions. Tape seals seams and vapor barriers; it was never meant to hold insulation onto a duct.
Zip-Ez is the fastest way to meet that requirement on duct wrap, fiberglass duct insulation, bubble type reflective insulation and rigid foam board. The disc will not loosen, slip or lose its hold in heat or cold, which is where tape and adhesive fail. Molded from polypropylene, there is nothing to rust and nothing to maintain for the life of the system.
Install
One hand. One screw. Done.
- Get your partsYour drill or driver, a sheet metal screw and a Zip-Ez disc.
- Load the driverPush the screw through the Zip-Ez and set it on the driver bit.
- Drive it inPosition it over the insulation overlap and drive straight through the wrap into the duct. One per foot.
- Seated flushThe disc pulls the insulation tight and sits flush. At least twice as fast as tie wire, and no bloody hands.
Third-party tested
Zero measured leakage at the fastener
In April 2010 an independent BPI-certified HERS rater tested Zip-Ez with a Minneapolis Duct Blaster at 25, 50 and 100 Pa, before and after install, and confirmed with fog and a smoke pencil. Result: zero measured air leakage at the fastener penetration points.

From the field
What installers say
These are not the cheapest insulation fasteners but they are tough. I have not broken one yet and they work great. They invert when you tighten them, then they are flush with the insulation surface.
They are a super great product. Our installation technicians are using them on almost every job and they love them!!!
Ordered these for a HVAC company and they were exactly what we needed. The shipping was on time. I would order from JT Products again.
Are screws included?
No. Zip-Ez is the disc. It goes over a standard sheet metal screw of the length your job needs, the kind most crews already carry. We use a #8 x 1 in hex washer-head self-drilling screw.
How many do I need?
One fastener per foot. A bag holds approximately 250 discs (it is filled by weight), which covers roughly 250 feet of duct.
What insulation does it work on?
Duct wrap, fiberglass duct insulation, bubble type reflective insulation and rigid foam board.
Why not just use tape?
Tape seals seams and vapor barriers. It was never meant to hold insulation onto a duct, and it can lose its grip in heat or cold. Zip-Ez mechanically holds the insulation on.
Can I reuse it?
Yes. The disc can be backed off and used again if a duct is rewrapped.
